Interview mash-up with A J Dalton!
In a departure from my usual updates, I’m posting something a little different – an interview with a fellow Gollancz author, A J Dalton. I first met Adam at a Gollancz party not long after we had been both been signed. Both of us come from a self-publishing background, having won the attention of our publisher through the blood, sweat and tears of marketing our own work. Discovering similar tastes in everything from films, books and favourite party nibbles, it was inevitable we would become good friends. (And hell, we even have the “j” in common.)
Death becomes you
Okay, I'll start with an apology. It’s been nearly five months without a proper news update (poor showing from me, sorry!) so I thought I’d give you a little treat – call it an early Xmas pressie if you will. A while back I mentioned that one of the upcoming features in DQ3 The Eye of Winter’s Fury is a new category of special ability. Well, it’s time to tear away the wrapping and take a glimpse at the sheer awesomeness of this new ability: the death move.
The Heart of Fire, hot off the presses…
I do love receiving packages – even more so when they have the promise of books inside. Yes, Amazon have done very well out of me these past few years, but it’s nice occasionally to get a bunch of ‘free’ books and when they happen to be DestinyQuest… wooh, it's time to party!
Come back fighting!
Well, Book Three is finally finished and off to the publishers. Now I have some (rare) time on my hands, I can start addressing some of the niggling things on my 'to-do' list The first of those is a DQ combat tracker!
Portable for the masses
As I mentioned in my previous news update, 11 April will see the release of the new (and final) edition of The Legion of Shadow. This is the Gollancz Mass Market Paperback – so the most obvious differences are size and weight. But flick past the cover and existing DQers will notice a few changes.
