Book Four Kickstarter update
Just to keep everyone in the picture with latest developments – I have now employed a professional typesetter to complete the paperback and hardback versions of the book. This was a decision that was made after I reviewed the final PDF provided by Megara, and found that there were some significant issues with the layout. DestinyQuest is a complex book to layout due to many of its design components, and I feel Megara did the best that they could, but ultimately I felt that the book was falling short of the standards set by previous editions.
So, this decision will incur a slight delay. We are now looking at getting final PDFs for mid-November, when both editions will go to the printers. In the mean time, Megara are focused on getting the loot cards, activity card sheets, and other KS components ready – so that once the books are printed and in stock, then pledges can be immediately fulfilled. So, while this is yet another delay, I feel that we are finally on track with a rough end date in mind. I feel confident that backers will start receiving their books by the end of November, early December – in time for Christmas.
I do apologise for the delays to this Kickstarter – although such things are not uncommon. At least now we have a very real time frame to work to, and things are looking good for the project now. Better the book is produced to the highest standards possible, even if this means a few more weeks of waiting. So thank you all for your patience – it is appreciated. And the book will be well worth the wait!
