I just finished my last blue quest (the well). I fought against a burrower alpha, and after delivering the final blow I was splashed by white acid which subtracted 1 of armour from one of my items.
I'd like to know if this gets fixed once the quest is finished or is it something permanent?

It's permanent. Figure you'll want to replace it something better(of course that's basically true for all your items eventually).
