Difference between Dodge and Parry

Is there any difference between these two skills?
I know that the description changes slightly, but I cannot think of a situation where they can have different effects.

You're right, dodge abilities (such as sidestep and evade) and parry have the same effect/outcome. A distinction is made because they are different in terms of their action. So there are instances where dodge abilities are referred to explicitly (such as when the ensnare and hamstring abilities can disable them).
