Hi,
There are a few combats throughout the books where it is stated that you are not able to use special abilities. In these instances, does that rule also apply to 'Passive' abilities - as these are supposed to just happen without any actual action needing to be taken (apart from a trigger in some instances such as venom, bleed and disease)?

It applies to all special abilities, including passives. Otherwise, heroes with loads of passives would have a huge advantage in such fights. ;)
