Hi,
if my equipment gets damaged in a quest can I buy the same item again from the market in the area town or can items only be bought once?

That is a very good question.
For consistency (although I know some might argue the logic), I would say 'yes' you can re-buy equipment from vendors. This keeps equipment items in line with potions etc (which can obviously be purchased multiple times).
