New player here, and I have to agree that Speed outranks all other attributes (at least in the first book, which is the only one I’ve played so far). As much as I love the Piercing ability, it only applies if you win a combat round. Accordingly, I would place a greater emphasis on Overpower and its functional reprints Brutality and Deflect, since they damage your opponent if you lose a combat round.
