I'm not sure I worked it out properly but I got the right answer. Choose a box for the 1 then each stitch adds one to the value. Think 2 is bottom left.

can someone give me a clue for this puzzle? I thought for sure I had it, but I ended up with a 9 in the bottom left, and there's no paragraphs beginning with 9
