Thanks again. I started using OneNote to hold the character sheet and then have Kindle open to the side like this:

(hopefully this link works)
This way I can resize things (the Hero Sheet is smaller than 100% right now) and I can write on the Hero Sheet as needed using the Apple Pencil. Below it I have the combat tracker that I downloaded from the official site. And, I have a separate page with Glossary that I also downloaded from the official site.

I read it using the Kindle app. The links work really well.

Heads up, though. Sometimes the app gets fussy with the repeated use of links. I find that it may become unresponsive. When that happens, I just open another book when I restart it. Then, I go back to the gamebook and then all is well again. I've discovered that problem while I was playing through Fabled Lands.

Kindle makes gamebooks a better experience. I sometimes get lost and forget what number I'm supposed to be turning to, so the links are awesome.

I use an app called "Graphic." It's an app that is both for IOS and OS. When I got it, it was cheap. I'm not sure if it is anymore.

However, if that doesn't work, I don't see any reason we couldn't set up a Pages sheet.

I just downloaded the character sheets for this. I'll be converting it soon so I can use them.

When using the Graphics app, I put a screen shot of the stats sheet (half of this one at a time) on one level, and I put the text boxes on a top level. I create a workspace that is long rather than wide so that I don't have to zoom as much - scrolling is easier.

Kindle Only. I love the links.

That being said, I've only just bought these on Amazon and haven't opened them yet. I've played Fabled Lands both in book form and ebook, and I have discovered that the links are way too great an option to scorn.

I play gamebooks on my iPad in split screen. On one side is the book, on the other side is my graphics app where I keep track on my character sheets.

I'm really looking forward to DestinyQuest 4: The Raiders of Dune Sea being released on Kindle!

Thanks, Da Boss and RuralLeech. I thought as much. I also prefer physical books for things like games and such.

I did order book 4 as I only saw it available in paperback. I thought I would give it a try.

Definitely the physical copy,the kindle is great but there is just something about holding the physical book.

Personally, I prefer the physical books - as it is easier to flip to the rules, glossary and maps when needed - and there's nothing nicer than flipping back and forth in a physical book rather than swiping at a screen. But everyone is different - and some do prefer the eBook versions as they are certainly lighter and easier if travelling.

Although, with both, you still need a print out of the hero sheet, dice etc.

Kindle vs Paperback?

I have yet to buy but was wondering if anyone has used the kindle edition and can compare to using the paperback? I keep picturing flipping back and forth in the paperback so I can’t see the kindle edition being easier to use.
