Yes, it is very sad news - like you, the Lone Wolf books and Fighting Fantasty were the books that got me excited about this hobby - and led to a lifelong love of all things geek.

And thank you for the kind words regarding DestinyQuest. I will be posting a news update in the next week or so that should cheer up gamebook lovers I hope.

Joe Dever has died at the age of 60. The Lone Wolf series was my introduction to gamebooks, and thanks to series like Destiny Quest, my love for them continues today.
