You can’t go back to the quest. Most of the time you can go right back to where you failed, but there are exceptions, and this is one of them.

Intent of 862 in LOS

I lost to the sentient anomaly in Waking the dead quest in Act 3 of LOS. After ward it has you go to 862 if your defeated, which basically tells you to go back to the Adventure map because you were overwhelmed. I am a bit confused about the intention of this. Does it mean the quest is failed and I can't go back to it, Or can I go back to the quest later? It's just different then the normal if you loose you can try again with only the loss of the consumables that you used.
