The others were do as promo for Kickstarter campaigns. So, unless I was to do another campaign for DestinyQuest, probably unlikely I'd be doing cards for the other books. Hmm, something for me to think about I guess.

Hey All, new player here. I found the game a couple days ago, and started playing Legion of Shadow. I nearly finished Act 1 in a day, so needless to say I'm really enjoying it. I read that this is one of the 'weaker' entries being the first gamebook written. If that's the case, I'm hyped about the other books!

My only (slight) concern is that it may become difficult to keep track of all the abilities as I progress. Otherwise, it's great to have finally found something I can play by myself that doesn't require a ton of space or elaborate set up!

Is there a digital version of the map of Dormus on pages 138-139 of the World Companion? Can it be included in a DQ article? I want to showcase the development of the story on it. It will be a bird's eye view summary for readers that have not had the chance to read the series.

The Wind Serpent is not part of the 'Enclave' questline. It is a different Mythic monster that you would need to defeat.

Wind Scales are a crafting item that will be useful in the next book ;-)

When defeating the Wind Serpent Mythic monster, on prize entries 548, 502, 376 there is no bonus token for "Enclave" quest (514). That bonus is granted on the other 2 Mythic Monster kills so I expected here to be the final one. However I may be wrong because the hero is granted wind scales special item but I have not managed to find a usage.

Sorry for my delay in replying, I didn't spot your post!

It is only The Heart of Fire that has black and white maps. All the other books still have their colour maps.

The maps from Heart of Fire are available in colour from the Downloads page, if that helps.

Colored/Black and white maps

Currently only have the first two books in the series and was a little down about book 2 having black and white maps. It doesn't take much from the gameplay but was a nice touch being colored. What other books in the series are black and white or is it just book 2? if so i might have to keep my eye out for a pre owned book 2 with color maps. cheers

my point was to have available only the sheets that are already part of the book, not the extra bonus content. It would be appreciated if one may download the character sheets along with combat charts and print it out instead of scanning the book. The other books of yours have similar sheets normally available for a free download.

The price change is just a random one. I don't set those - they are probably decided by my publisher (Gollancz) or the Google Play store (sometimes they discount for a while, then revert to the publisher's set price).

Book 5 ebook is coming very soon. I just approved the file/text last Friday, so it should be going up any day now.

As for Legion ebook, the fully updated version is coming. I have pressed Gollancz again to confirm with me when that should be. They were due to get the final file over a week ago and I have not heard anything. I will pop an update up when I know.

Hi, I was looking at the Google Play Store, to see if the ebook version of book 5 was out. Sadly, it isn't there. However, I did notice that the prices for books 2 and 3 had increased from $3 and $4, to $6 each, since last I checked, a few months ago. Idk if the price to the first book changed, as I already own it. Was this a random price change, or did they go through and update the books, to match their printed counterparts? I know, at least the first ebook, had many errors, that were fixed in later printings.

Personally, I have had some wild twists that I didn’t see coming, especially with the branching choices that really changed the splunk course of the game for me.

It’s those moments that really make the DestinyQuest experience so unique! I’d love to hear what characters, items, or places made your adventure memorable.

I have the first English Gollancz edition, and the Giant Spider's health is 20. I wonder if a different English edition gave it 30 health. I didn't see that in any of the "patch notes".

I have a question about the change to the hydra's "Many heads" (section 350). It seems to be only a small wording change with no functional difference that I can see. "The third combat round" is changed to "three combat rounds", "back to full health" was changed to "up to full health", and "fourth round" was changed to "fourth combat round". Is that the extent of the change? Is there any functional difference to the change?

Yes, sorry - the original version of the book had a colour section, which obviously has now been replaced with black and white. But you are correct, the town map is the last image/map that allows you to 'fast travel' between locations.
